PCB Gerber check
Online Gerber viewer & checker
Upload a Gerber ZIP. You get a preview of every layer and a list of package errors, such as drills outside the board outline, commands that cannot be read or missing units, each with the file it came from.

THREE STEPS
From Gerber ZIP to a checked package.
- 01Upload the ZIP
Or loose GBR, GER, DRL and XLN files. Up to 100 files and 128 MB; free jobs take files up to 10 MB.
- 02Look at layers and findings
Each file is listed with the layer role it was read as, so a mislabelled layer stands out.
- 03Download the package
Report, preview, CSV and JSON stay available for 24 hours. Failed jobs are never counted.
What you get
One upload, one report package
In the download
- HTML report with every finding and the file it came from
- Layer preview (SVG) with each layer in its own colour
- Layer inventory (CSV): file name, layer role, units, format and operation count
- Geometry and board summary (JSON) for your own scripts
- Review ZIP with safely renamed copies of your files, plus a manifest
What the check reports
- Drill hits or copper outside the board outline
- An outline that does not close or is split into pieces
- Missing units, a missing format statement or mixed units across files
- Draws and flashes that use an undefined aperture
- A missing end-of-file command or an empty aperture or tool table
- Files with no clear layer role, or two files claiming the same layer
- No copper layer, no outline or no drill file in the package
What it does not check
- Board-house limits such as minimum trace width or annular ring
- Whether every required layer pair is present
- Filled pad and mask shapes: the preview draws the parsed coordinates, it is not a CAM rendering
Each job runs on its own, apart from other jobs. Uploaded files are deleted after processing; the result is kept for 24 hours.

Gerber viewer & checker FAQ
Which fabrication files can I upload?
A ZIP of the package, or loose GBR, GER, DRL and XLN files, up to 100 files and 128 MB. Gerber X2 and RS-274X are parsed together with Excellon drill data.
How are layer roles identified?
From file extensions, X2 attributes and the naming conventions inside the package. The inventory shows what each file was read as, so a mislabelled layer is visible before you order.
What does the layer preview show?
Every parsed layer drawn from its coordinates in its own colour, in one SVG. It is a check view, not a CAM rendering, so pad and mask shapes are not filled in.
What kind of finding blocks fabrication?
Drill coordinates that fall outside the parsed board outline, and aperture or coordinate commands the parser cannot read. Both are reported with the file name and the line.
Does it apply my board house rules?
No. There is no manufacturer profile behind the check, so minimum trace width, annular ring and similar house limits are not evaluated.
Does a clean preflight mean the package is complete?
No. Required layer pairs are not enforced, so a solder mask without its copper counterpart passes unnoticed. The report inventories what you sent, not what the order needs.
