What files can Price List Compare process?
The tested workflow supports CSV and XLSX files up to 10 MB per file and 100,000 data rows per file. For Excel workbooks, you choose one usable worksheet from each file.
How are old and new price lists matched?
You select one SKU or item-number column in each file. Values are matched exactly and case-sensitively after outer spaces are trimmed, so row order can change without hiding the same SKU.
Which price formats are supported?
Common German and English formats such as 1.234,56, 1,234.56 and 1234.56 are accepted and rounded commercially to two decimal places. Dates, percentages, negative prices and ambiguous text become review warnings instead of guessed prices.
Which changes does the report detect?
The report separates increased, decreased, unchanged, new and removed items. It keeps old price, new price, absolute difference and percentage change together for review.
How are duplicate or invalid rows handled?
The first valid occurrence of a duplicate SKU is used and a review warning is created. Missing SKUs and invalid prices are reported instead of being silently treated as valid changes.
How long can a result be downloaded?
Download access ends exactly seven days after the result is created. The generated files are physically removed in the next cleanup cycle, which runs at least every five minutes.
Is this a general Excel file comparison?
No. It does not compare formulas, formatting, VBA or every cell. It compares one old and one new supplier list using the SKU and price columns you select.
