Translating a Word or PowerPoint file and keeping its layout
What you upload
You upload a DOCX or PPTX file of up to 1,000 words, with a hard ceiling of 64,000 extracted characters. A longer file is turned down before you spend credits, so nothing comes back half translated. Only the text is translated. Styles, tables, images and slide layouts go back into the file unchanged. This is an AI job that needs an account and costs 2 credits, shown before you start.
What comes back
You get the translated DOCX or PPTX, a bilingual review CSV with source and target side by side, and a check workbook. Numbers, dates, links and placeholders are compared before and after translation. If a value changed or went missing, the job reports it instead of handing you a broken file. The workbook lists each protected term so you can confirm it came back as it was.
Language, glossary and review
You pick the target language: German, English, French, Spanish or Italian. You can also upload a glossary CSV of product names and codes that must stay unchanged. The result is machine translation with checks around it. It is not a certified or legal translation. Have someone who reads the target language review the text before you send or publish it.
Questions before you run it
Which parts of a DOCX or PPTX are actually translated?
Only the extracted text runs are sent for translation. Styles, tables, images and slide layouts are put back into the original OOXML package unchanged, so the file keeps the structure it arrived with.
Can I stop product names and codes from being translated?
Yes. Upload a protected glossary CSV and those terms are held constant through the round trip. The integrity workbook lists each protected token so you can confirm it came back untouched.
What happens to numbers, dates and links inside the text?
Numbers, URLs and placeholder tokens are compared before and after translation. If a value changed or went missing, the job reports it instead of handing back a file that quietly broke.
How large a document can I send?
Up to 1,000 words, with a hard ceiling of 64,000 extracted characters. That limit is shown before you spend credits, so a long deck is rejected rather than half translated.
Is this suitable for certified or legal translation?
No. The output is machine translation with structural checks around it, meant for review by someone who reads the target language. Available targets are German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
