Word (.docx)
A real .docx file. Headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, monospaced code, blockquotes, tables and paragraphs arrive as Word content.
Lists become indented paragraphs with a bullet or number. Links are written as text followed by the address in brackets. Images are dropped and their alt text stays.
HTML
A complete HTML page to download, or a body fragment to copy from the HTML source panel. Headings can get id attributes for anchor links. HTML inside your Markdown is escaped unless you switch that off.
Which Markdown works
Supported
Headings (# style and underlined), paragraphs, hard line breaks, bold and italic, strikethrough, inline code, fenced code blocks with a language label, ordered and unordered lists nested to any depth, blockquotes, horizontal rules, inline links, autolinks, images, backslash escapes and GitHub-style pipe tables with per-column alignment.
Not supported
Reference-style links, footnotes, definition lists, math and syntax highlighting inside code blocks. Indented four-space code blocks are read as ordinary text. If your document relies on these, check the preview before you download.
