How a job runs
Add your file
Choose or drop an SRT or VTT file of up to 10 MB. Sign in with a confirmed account, then pick English or German as the result language.
Check the preview
You see a limited sample of translated cues and any reading-speed warnings. No credits are used for the preview. Translations can miss names, jokes and technical terms, so read it against the source.
Unlock the files
1 credit unlocks the complete package, and the cost is shown before you confirm. Result files are kept for 24 hours.
Before you start
Do the timestamps change?
No. The cues from your file are kept exactly as they are. The tool translates the text between them; it does not transcribe audio or work out when a line was spoken.
Which languages can I translate into?
English or German only. Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish and other target languages are not offered. The source has to be a plain-text SRT or WebVTT track, and inline styling markup needs to be removed before upload.
What are the reading-speed warnings?
Translated text often takes longer to read than the original. The file reading-speed-check.json lists each cue that goes above 20 characters per second, has a line longer than 42 characters or uses more than two lines. Treat those as editing suggestions, not proof that a subtitle is unusable.
Will it shorten a translation that does not fit?
It wraps lines at 42 characters but does not drop words to squeeze a cue. Where a line is too dense, reword it or adjust the timing in your subtitle editor after download.
How long a subtitle file can I submit?
Up to fifteen minutes of subtitle timing. The duration is measured from the timestamps in the file itself rather than a value you enter.
Do I need an account?
Yes. The translator needs a confirmed WoluTools account. The preview uses no credits. Unlocking the complete files costs 1 AI credit for up to fifteen minutes of subtitles. Pro includes 40 credits a month, and credit packs start at 20 credits for €6.99.
Keep the cue timing while changing the language
The translator works on an existing subtitle file. It does not transcribe audio or find out when a sentence was spoken; it takes the timestamps already in your file and writes them back unchanged. Remove inline styling tags before you upload, because this version accepts plain cues only.
After download, play the translated track with the video and look closely at fast dialogue, names and technical terms. If a cue is too dense, reword it or adjust its timing in your subtitle editor, and keep the source track as a reference.
