Do I need an account, and what does it cost?
Yes, a free account with a confirmed email address. The preview uses no credits. Downloading the full file costs 1 AI credit per job of up to 100 text cells. Credits come from a plan (Pro includes 40 a month) or from a pack, starting with 20 credits for €6.99.
Which languages can I translate into?
English or German. You choose the output language in the workspace before the preview starts.
How do I choose which cells get translated?
For CSV, pick the exact column headers holding the text. For Excel, use column letters such as A or C. Only the selected text cells are translated. Numeric cells and formulas are left alone.
How much fits into one job?
Up to one hundred text cells and three thousand words. Identical selected inputs reuse the same translation within a job, which keeps repeated wording consistent.
Does my Excel workbook survive the translation?
The other workbook parts are retained and only the selected text cells are replaced. This version reads the first worksheet and treats its first row as a header, so move the intended content there before uploading.
Which files are not supported?
Macro-enabled workbooks and workbooks with external links. A CSV export keeps your other columns but cannot carry formatting or additional worksheets.
What should I check after downloading?
Numeric values, URLs and placeholders are checked for preservation, but names and industry terms are not. Open the file in your spreadsheet application, inspect styles and formulas, and keep the original as a backup.
Limits in this version
- Only the first worksheet is read, and its first row is treated as the header.
- One job holds up to 100 text cells and 3,000 words.
- Macro-enabled workbooks and workbooks with external links are not supported.
- A CSV file cannot carry formatting or extra worksheets; use XLSX if you need them.
