Controlled server workflow
From checked input to an inspectable PDF package
- Step 1.Add one or more PDFs in the order they should be combined and inspect their real page counts.
- Step 2.Separate the physical PDF range from the first visible number, then choose every, odd or even pages.
- Step 3.Confirm format, position, font, style, size, colour, opacity and margin over a real source-page preview.
- Step 4.Download the verified PDF with page-label CSV, accessible HTML report and versioned JSON hash manifest.
What the worker guarantees
Clear result boundary
The protected app previews the real selected source page and also controls font family, style, size and margin. The original page graphics remain intact underneath the new label.
PDF questions
PDF Page Numbering FAQ
Specific answers about output behaviour, limits and deletion.
Can I use Page 1 of 10 formatting?
Yes. Use Page {page} of {total}; both placeholders are resolved from the confirmed job.
Can the cover remain unnumbered?
Yes. Set the first numbered page so earlier pages remain unchanged.
Can visible numbering start at 1 on a later PDF page?
Yes. The physical PDF range and the first visible number are separate settings.
Can I stop numbering before the final page?
Yes. Set an exact last PDF page, and optionally label only odd or even physical pages inside that range.
Which positions are supported?
Choose top left, top centre, top right, bottom left, bottom centre or bottom right.
Are existing page contents rasterized?
No. The number is added as a PDF overlay on the source page.
Can I combine files before numbering?
Yes. Files are combined in upload order and then numbered as one sequence.
How many pages can one job contain?
The service limit is 300 pages in total.
Does the tool change PDF navigation labels?
No. It adds visible text to page content. Viewer sidebar labels are a separate PDF feature and remain unchanged.
