Video, Audio & YouTube
Compress a video to an exact size like 25 MB
Upload an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV and set the size limit. You get an MP4 measured to fit, and a note if quality or resolution had to drop to get there.

Fit a video under a size limit you set
The clip and the limits
You upload an MP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV file up to 5 minutes long. Then you enter the maximum file size in MB, for example the attachment limit of a chat app or an upload form. The output is always MP4. This is a standard tool. You get 3 free jobs a day without signing up, and a failed job does not count.
Checking the result
The download holds compressed.mp4, compression-report.json and manifest.json. The finished file is measured in bytes after encoding, and the report states that size. It also records any trade-off, such as a lower resolution or less audio. If your target cannot be reached, the job fails and says so. You do not get an oversized file or an unwatchable one. Play the MP4 and read the report before you send it.
Resolution, audio and your choices
Maximum resolution can be keep, 2160p, 1080p or 720p. Any downscale is written into the report. Audio can be preserved, compressed or removed. Removing it leaves all the room for the picture, which often helps a short clip with a tight limit. The tool never claims lossless compression or a quality it did not measure. Whether the result looks good enough for your use is for you to judge.
Questions before you run it
Does the output actually land under my target size?
The finished file is measured in bytes after encoding and the report states the result. If the target cannot be reached within the bounded search, the job fails instead of handing you an oversized file.
What if my target is too small for the clip?
The job stops and says so. A 5-minute clip squeezed into a couple of megabytes has no acceptable setting, and nothing unwatchable is shipped in its place.
Can I keep the original resolution?
Yes, set maximum resolution to keep. The options are keep, 2160p, 1080p and 720p, and any downscale that was applied is written into the report.
Can I drop or shrink the audio track to save room?
Audio can be preserved, compressed or removed. Removing it frees the whole audio bitrate for the picture, which is often decisive on a short clip with a tight limit.
Which formats and lengths are accepted?
MP4, MOV, WEBM and MKV up to 5 minutes. The output is always MP4, alongside a byte and fidelity report and a manifest.
